What's going on? What happened to hypocritical hero? Didn't you hear? There was this big hurricane on the east coast, and being on the west coast- it affected me ... not at all. So really, what's happened? I've redesigned the site and the comic. It's fresh and new, and is making me much happier. WHY? By the gods, why? Well Hypocritical Hero was always an experimentation. The idea itself has been bubbling around my head for a while, it even spawned from a comic I once drew that only managed to badly rip off Sailormoon. (I know, the horror) But "experiment" is just about a word for "crap" or... "doing drugs repeatedly" so needless to say- I've been very unsatisfied with it. I started losing my drive to do the comic at all when the art school monster came to town. (which is honestly not mostly the comic's fault, it's mostly art school's fault) I considered redoing early pages and just redoing the art, but that seemed like a chore that would take me more time then I have. Plus there have been problems aside from the art. Time time time... something about a hazy shade Hypocritical hero also took *wayyyyyyy* too much time to produce, I was struggling to get a page done a week even when I had spare time, and now that I don't, a page every 3 months seemed like too much of a chore. And since I can be a picky artist, I had problems finding a style that was fast enough but still satisfied the artist in me. So in my "experimenting" I think I've finally found a way to produce pages faster. What does all this mean? It means that the plot, the art, and the site are getting an overhaul. It's all the same characters and the same overall plot; with the occasional tweak here and there. You can think of the new chapters as dropping in on the characters at a different point in time. In fact, I tried to write it so it wouldn't conflict *too much* with the older chapters. This also means more updates, since the new style doesn't take as long I can actually update again. Plus my life is not as "complicated" now as it has been in the past year, so you guys can kick me in the ass more often. So what happens to the old site? You can still view it all at Hypocritical Hero classic. But it's not going to be updated, and I will warn you- I'm eventually going to take it down. I'm so upset, I miss the old Hypocritical Hero! Come on, think of it like that spin off of Three's Company - the Ropers! We all loved that and it was so successful wasn't it? Um, in any case, give the new and improved comic a chance. It's still me, I'm still cracked. And if you don't like it, it's not like you had to pay for it. And you did pay for Gigli. | ||
